Each year a handful of Global Scholars have the opportunity to attend American University's Founders Day Ball. The Ball is held in celebration of the University's founding and this year, AU celebrated its 126th birthday.
The photo on the top is of this years Global Scholars who attended the ball. This year the university hosted the event at the National Air & Space Museum in Chantilly, VA. Needles to say, the even was out of this world. The photo below is of the previous years group of students who attended the event when it was hosted at the National Museum of African American History & Culture.
As a cohort program, this event represents an annual opportunity for us to get together and enjoy each other's company while visiting some of the worlds most amazing museums. Experiencing cultures, history, art and fun are all a part of what it means to be a Global Scholar at American University, so its fitting that we are able to get together at this event that embodies that same idea.
